Date Formats for Events - Just Married decals

How do you create a date in your designs? How do you want them created if you’re the client?

Date formats are always something I consider when creating event decals. There are so many ways to write a date, especially in the creative realm.

There are:

• May 1, 2025

• 05-01-25

• 1 May, ‘25

• 5.1.25

• Thursday, May 1st

• May 1st

• 5 <insert a symbol> 1 <insert a symbol> 25

Yes. That last one is something I’ve created. A bride wanted the date separated by a heart. And that opened an additional variable—what kind of heart? I will accommodate whatever a bride wants for her day. I had her sketch her idea of what the date looked like to her and created a vector of her drawing — it was perfect.

But, how to convey to clients that you can and will accommodate those requests, or even provide them some inspiration for thinking outside the box, and being a little creative — advertise it.

And so each of my listings offers that option — create your own — regardless of what it is — and I’ll do what I can to accommodate your vision for your wedding.
